Young Cooks & Farmers - Week One: Pizza Party
with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

Ages: 6 - 11
July 1st - 3rd, 9:30am - 12:30pm, $50 per day
Our Young Cooks & Farmers program brings children ages 6-11 to Yellow Farmhouse Education Center to experience sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm fresh recipes.
Week One: Pizza Week. Harvest early summer produce and prepare creative and farm fresh pizza sauces and toppings. Learn to knead and roll out a variety of pizza doughs, including ones that are gluten free.

Storytime On The Farm
with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

Ages: 3 - 7
Children and their caregivers join Yellow Farmhouse educators under the apple tree for a story, a nature activity, and a farm fresh snack.
Age: 3 - 7 years old. $15 per class.
Storytime will be held on Wednesdays, from 10AM - 11AM.
Proceeds benefit the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, whose goal is to connect people to where their food comes from and make a local, sustainable food system accessible to all.

Young Cooks & Farmers - Week Two: Food Pockets
with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

Ages: 6 - 11
July 8th-10th, 9:30AM - 12:30PM, $50 per day
Our Young Cooks & Farmers program brings children ages 6-11 to Yellow Farmhouse Education Center to experience sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm fresh recipes.
Week 2: Food Pockets. Every culture has a food pocket. Join us for a world tour with stops in the United States, Italy, Latin America, and China. Come learn about and participate in sustainable farming and learn to make ravioli, hand pies, dumplings, and empanadas. Each day includes a lunch prepared by the children.

Week Three: Toss it Up. From coleslaw to fruit salad, salads can wow at every course of the meal. This week, we will harvest summer produce and get creative with seasonal salads.

July 22nd - 24th, 9:30am - 12:30pm, $50 per day

Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm fresh recipes.
Week Four: Rise 'N Shine. This week we're learning to make everyone's favorite meal, breakfast! We'll make omelettes and egg sandwiches, fruit pancakes and compotes, yogurt and granola, and more of the sweet and savory breakfast foods that we all love.

Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm fresh recipes.
Week Five: Snack Factory. Craft sweet and savory snacks from farm-fresh produce. Make crispy potato chips, gourmet popcorn, decadent energy balls, and creative crudités.

Week Six: Take a deep dive into the world of noodles like soba, rice, and wheat. Learn how to roll and shape, how to tell when a noodle is done cooking, and how to make delicious sauces with farm fresh produce.
