Young Cooks & Farmers - Week 6: Noodle Fest
with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

Ages: 6 - 11
August 5th - 7th, 9:30am - 12:30pm, $50 per day
Our Young Cooks & Farmers program brings children ages 6-11 to Yellow Farmhouse Education Center to experience sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm fresh recipes.
Week Six: Take a deep dive into the world of noodles like soba, rice, and wheat. Learn how to roll and shape, how to tell when a noodle is done cooking, and how to make delicious sauces with farm fresh produce. Each day will be a new set of recipes.

with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

August 12th - 14th, 9:30am - 12:30pm, $50 per day
Our Young Cooks & Farmers program brings children ages 6-11 to Yellow Farmhouse Education Center to experience sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm-fresh recipes.
Week Seven: Rise 'N Shine. What makes bread rise? How does temperature change consistency? What is fermentation? Explore these questions and more through cooking experiments and tastings. Each day will be a new set of recipes.

Young Cooks & Farmers - Week 8: The Final Scoop
with Yellow Farmhouse Educators

Ages: 6 - 11
August 25th - 28th, 9:30am - 12:30pm, $50 per day
Our Young Cooks & Farmers program brings children ages 6-11 to Yellow Farmhouse Education Center to experience sustainable farming and seasonal cooking. Children work with farmers and culinary educators to investigate and explore a regenerative farm, grow and harvest produce, and prepare farm-fresh recipes.
Week Eight: The Final Scoop. Churn up flavor with homemade ice creams and sorbets. We’ll use late summer produce to make tried and true favorites like peach ice cream and raspberry sorbet, and experiment with new flavors like basil ice cream and sweet corn sorbet. Each day will be a new set of recipes.
